StillWalking in the early morning with my guest-dog takes me to the still small beach. A heron, some sea gulls are standing in calm water. My shoes are crisping in the wet sand. That sound almost echoes into the world. The town’s carillon starts playing, some notes are traveling through the air to where I stand. I take this photo. The sun rays are starting to penetrate the clouds. Mist is lifting, a song forms itself in my head, morning is broken. My heart sings now too. I find it rewarding and uplifting to have this experience alone. Guest dog is looking for a stick. I find one. I throw it into the water. Endless circles ripple, wavelets lap. I walk on.
